Project overview
Wind had lifted shingles across part of a roof slope. The rest of the covering was still within its working life, so a targeted repair was the sensible answer rather than a full replacement.
The existing problem
Missing and lifted shingles had exposed the underlay in one area. Left open, water would have reached the deck and turned a contained repair into a much larger one.
Work completed
- Damaged area assessed and photographed
- Lifted and missing shingles removed
- Underlay inspected and made good
- Replacement shingles installed and bonded
- Surrounding courses checked and refixed where needed
The result
The slope is weathertight again and the remaining covering was left to run out its life rather than being replaced early.
