Foundation Repair
Repairing foundations after establishing what moved them, and whether the movement has stopped.
Service category
Waystar carries out structural and concrete work on New York property: foundation repair, concrete repair and replacement, sidewalk repair, retaining walls, structural reinforcement, steel lintels and beams, excavation, underpinning and slab work.
This is the work underneath everything else. Foundations, slabs, sidewalks, retaining walls, steel and underpinning are rarely what a property owner wants to spend money on, and they are the things that turn expensive fastest when they are left. Structural work is also where an engineer is often involved, and we will say plainly when that is the case.

Questions
Some are and some are not. Fine hairline cracks are common as concrete cures. Cracks that are widening, stepped, offset, or letting water through are worth looking at promptly. We will tell you which kind you appear to have, and when an engineer needs to be involved.
Yes. Where work requires engineering design or sign off, that sits with a qualified engineer and we build to the drawings. Waystar does not provide engineering certification itself.
In New York City the adjoining property owner is generally responsible for maintaining the sidewalk. Defective flags can attract a violation, and repair is usually cheaper than the consequences of leaving it.
Genuinely disruptive, and noisy. It is planned in sections with access and protection agreed first, and we would rather set that expectation at the start than halfway through.
