Project overview
Exterior work carried out across a full elevation, with repair completed before any finish was applied.
The existing problem
The previous finish had been applied over surfaces that were never properly prepared, so it was lifting in sheets in some areas and holding firm in others. That mix is harder to deal with than a uniform failure.
Work completed
- Elevation surveyed and the existing finish tested for adhesion
- Loose and failed material removed
- Cracks and damaged areas made good
- Substrate primed and sealed appropriately
- Finish applied in the specified coats
- Surroundings protected throughout and cleaned at completion
The result
A finish bonded to a prepared surface, which is the only thing that decides how long an exterior coating lasts.
